100 words - day 2

Well after a long weekend of annual leave and a camping trip with a friend to climb Pen Y Fan, I’ve been playing catch up all day and didn’t do this first thing this morning! Note to self this needs to be a first thing in the day job, if it’s to become a habit.

So I think I will make a map of the GPX file of our hike and turn this into a birthday card for my godson who will turn 13 in November. It will be fun to play with some raster terrain data to show the elevation gain. He has learned a little about maps in school and was able to tell me about contour lines on an OS map when we planned the route.
